This is an American antique crazy quilt made circa 1880s to 1910. It is a traditional Hit and Miss quilt pattern. The quilt has been hand sewn and beautifully hand embroidered with an array of colors. This piece was made by a hand skills master who had an eye for taking the ordinary to the next level. The quilt contains many men's suit scraps. Please take note of the backing fabric(inside of vest), it is beautiful contrasting silk sateen. In our opinion, the quilt is very thin and lightweight. We used black beaded buttons as closures. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. The quilt is in excellent condition for its age! If you’re looking to make a boom boom pow statement you can pair this vest with the matching Market Jacket. This is a size medium. We designed this vest to be a fitted piece. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
