This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1880s to 1915. It is traditional Trip Around the World quilt pattern. This is a highly collectable quilt believed to be made by Old Order Mennonites from Lancaster County. The quilt has been beautifully hand quilted, however we believe it was pieced on a Treadle sewing machine. The quilt is thin and lightweight. The maker backed the quilt(inside of skirt), with a beautiful floral fabric. This piece did not come from a humble home, which is ironic considering it to be a Mennonite quilt. We were able to make a corresponding Mini Skirt if you're looking for a full ensemble. This is a size medium. We designed this vest to be a fitted piece. It can be worn over a shirt or as a shirt. There are three Thunderbird buttons used for closures. Please make sure to read the measurements below before ordering. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
