This is an American antique quilt made circa 1930’s to 1960’s. It is a traditional Tumbling Block quilt pattern. This piece is hand quilted with red embroidery thread. It makes the blocks jump out at you. The quilt top is made with fine wool fabric and the quilt is backed with cotton. If you are sensitive to wool, even though the quilt top will not go against your skin, you may want to avoid this jacket. Due to the use of wool, this jacket will keep you warm. This jacket is lightweight, however, it is medium loft (puffiness). We have added three metal textural brass buttons for closures. Please Note: This fabric is made with some wool content. This is a size medium. We designed this vest to be a fitted piece. It can be worn over a shirt or as a shirt. Please make sure to read the measurements below before ordering. Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
