This is an authentic, antique American quilt made circa the 1930s-1940s. This quilt is a large scale Tulip Applique quilt. We love that it has been hand quilted with green thread which pops when you look at it. We also love the green backing (inside of the quilt). This piece is also entirely hand appliqued using black embroidery thread. We have never before had a floral applique like this and we strategized about the layout of this quilt in hopes that it would strike the perfect confluence between folk art and pop art. Do you see it?!?! In our opinion the quilt is medium thickness, light weight, light to medium loft (puffiness). We have used a black antique button as a closure.
