This is an American antique quilt. We are unsure of when this quilt was made. This is considered a Redwork quilt. Redwork was a pastime that became popular is the early 1900’s. Little girls were taught this handcraft and it was appreciated by women of all ages during the turn of the century. This quilt is completely hand embroidered and hand quilted. There is some mild tanning and color-bleed throughout, but we believe this does not affect the overall wellbeing of this quilt. We have included photos in the listing for your convenience. The one thing that makes this quilt very curious is the hand embroidered Cuba patch that we made the overall focal point on the back of this jacket. In our opinion the quilt is very thin, very lightweight, very soft, and has a flattering drape. We have used a leather carved red wooden button for a closure.
