Frances, the maker, celebrated the United States 200th birthday by making a truly jaw dropping states quilt. This piece is a hand skills show off!! The quilt has been hand quilted and hand sewn but most impressively hand embroidered!! The maker, who we know is Frances because she signed and dated the quilt, embroidered every state and their corresponding name, flower, bird, and year that they joined the union. This was not a task for the faint of heart! If you are looking to be the star of your 4th of July party and queen of U.S. state trivia, this is the jacket for you! We have added a mother of pearl button as a closure. The jacket is soft, thin, and light weight with a little loft(puffiness). There are a few very small age spots on the inside of the jacket that we could not lift during the washing process. They do not show through to the front. We have added a photo at the end of the listing for your convenience. Overall, this quilt is in excellent condition! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out via dms.
