This is an authentic, antique American quilt made circa the1930's-1940's. This beauty was made in the Traditional Log Cabin quilt pattern. This particular Log Cabin quilt is known as a Sunshine and Shadows pattern. This piece has been hand quilted and hand sewn, which is a labor of love and a dying art. This quilt contains many turn of the century fabrics such as rare and valuable indigos and men's shirt scraps. For a closure we used a large carved navy wooden button that Lady Lancaster found during her travels to England. In our opinion this piece is thin, light weight with a little loft, and has a nice drape. If you are looking for a jacket to add a fur to, this is a great option. All fur is easily detachable. Please reach out after purchasing and we can show you our fur options. PLEASE NOTE: there is color bleed on the inside of the jacket in multiple locations. There are also many little age spots or tanning. On the outside of the jacket there are multiple age spots. We have included photos of these discrepancies at the end of the listing. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
