This is an American antique quilt made circa 1960's-1970's. This was made with a Paragon quilt kit that was featured on the cover of Good Housekeeping in the 60's. It was made to celebrate Americana. As a result, it became wildly popular. We are obsessed with the Folk Art Motifs, specifically the bell at the back of the neck. The detail in this applique is stunning, the tiny stars on the eagles sheild to the tiny eagle claws. This piece is beautifully hand quilted. It is a soft, thin, lightweight quilt. It is very comfortable to wear. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10.
