This is an antique American quilt top that was made in 1913. We know this because it was hand embroidered on the quilt. We have preserved the provenance and placed it on the back as a focal point. We believe this to be a family or cousins quilt and was probably embroidered by children. Please take note of the ornate butterfly as well as the hand prints that we have placed on a shoulder. This quilt carries great sentiment! To bring the quilt top to life, we backed and longarmed it. For closures we used vintage black buttons. In our opinion, the quilt is extremely thin and lightweight for a crazy quilt. In keeping with the genre, it contains, velvet, homespun ginghams, wool, and felt fabrics. Please note, there are two flaws that we have photographed and videoed. This is a size LARGE, please read size measurements below.
