This is an antique American quilt made circa 1950s to 1980s. It is a traditional Cathedral W indow quilt pattern. The quilt has been beautifully hand sewn. We loved the elevated flag border . We preserved the border and it can best appreciated on the sleeves and hem. This is not a typical Cathedral Window, the maker used a traditional art called Trapunto quilting, which gives it a pillowy, lofty, or teddy bear feel. This piece is filled with extremely tedious handwork. We used plastic pearl heart buttons as closures. If you do not prefer the flag or scallop border, we are happy to hem it to your style. In our opinion, the quilt has medium loft (puffiness), is very soft and floppy, and is a dream to wear. This is a size LARGE. This jacket is designed to fit oversized.
