Anchors Aweigh! This is a chenille bedspread made circa 1950s to 1960s. It is a very rare and extremely hard to find nautical piece. To make a quilt, we backed the chenille with a contrasting red and blue polka dot fabric. This can best be appreciated when the sleeves are cuffed. This piece is not hand quilted, but rather completed with a long arm by Zoe Dawn. In keeping with the theme, we used mid century gold anchor buttons as closures. In our opinion, this quilt is very thin, very lightweight, and overflowing with character. This is a size LARGE. Please read size measurements below. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
