This is an American antique quilt that was completed in 1934. We have saved and highlighted the provenance by placing it on the center back of the jacket. This quilt is a traditional Brickwall quilt pattern. It has been hand-knotted and beautifully hand embroidered with turkey track stitching. The quilt is made with men's suiting fabric. This piece contains wools and is very warm and great for winter climates. However, if you are sensitive to wool fabrics we discourage purchasing this piece. This jacket comes with a detachable genuine black fur collar. For closures we used antique glass buttons. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
