This is an antique American quilt made circa 1920's-1940's. It is a stunning Scrappy or Crazy Quilt. The quilt contains hand embroidered turkey track stitching throughout. The quilt has a very haberdashery feel, as it contains men's wool suit scraps, flannels, and other scraps from the makers sewing box. This is a stunning piece of wearable Folk Art! Please note the stunning turn of the century backing fabric, which can best be appreciated when the cuffs are rolled. We have elevated this quilt by adding a genuine fur collar that is completely detachable. Please watch the video for more details on this. We have also included photos of the jacket with and without the fur collar for your convenience. Please note the large, hand painted, wooden buttons we selected as closures. We left a lucky charm in the front pocket as a surprise for the next owner. This is an absolute artistic and technical show off, the stiches are done by a master and the graphic artistry is off the charts. This quilt is in impeccable condition for its age. There are a few zig zag mends, we have included a photo at the end of the listing for your convenience. There are also a few turkey track stitches that have come loose but are insignificant and not worthy of a photo. If you have any questions please direct message us and we are happy to bore you with many more details.
