This is an antique American quilt top made circa 1930s to 1940s. It is an appliqued Scottie Dog quilt. The scottie dogs were hand pieced and hand appliqued. To give this orphaned quilt top a second life we backed it with coordinating 1930's reproduction fabric. You will want to cuff the sleeves to show this fabric off! Zoe Dawn Zoe Dawn quilted this beauty on her long arm. In our opinion, this jacket is soft, thin, lightweight with little loft(puffiness), and drapes well. We used gold and pearl enamel floral buttons as closures. Please note, this is a size MEDIUM. Please read the size measurements below. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
