This is an American antique quilt, completed in 1914 by a maker whose initials are E. H. We know this because she signed the quilt which we have preserved and placed on a focal point on the button placket. We believe that the maker quilted this using a Treadle sewing machine. We have reason to believe that this quilt was made by a young girl.  The quilt is exceptional and coveted for its antique indigo fabric. Please note that it is backed in a very high quality indigo fabric. The quilt is thin, very soft, very light weight, and has a great drape. We have added antique wooden buttons as closures. This is a size small. Please see size guide below and if you have any questions on size or fit please direct message us and we would be happy to help.

  • Do not order this jacket without considering and reviewing the size chart. If you are on the borderline of a size, please size up for best results.
  • This jacket has been preloved and will show wear appropriate for its age.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
