This is a future heirloom and a Lady Lancaster original. This is a true show stopper! It is a traditional Broken Star quilt pattern, but made in a very unorthodox and fun colorway. The quilt was made using a combination of luxe Free Spirit and Kaffe Fassett fabrics. This piece was not hand quilted but was completed by Zoe Dawn and her long arm. You will want to cuff the sleeves to show off the abstract geode fabric on the inside of the jacket. This piece looks great when worn inside out, it is a multitasker! This piece is a true work horse, it is not fragile at all and there is no need to baby it. The quilt will be able to withstand washings. This is the perfect palette for spring and summer! In our opinion, the quilt is thin, lightweight, and has a little loft(puffiness). Please note, there is some very faint color blead on the front. it is so faint that our high res images can not pick it up. PLEASE NOTE: the sleeves are 2” longer than our standard Helen pattern. Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
