This is an antique American quilt top made circa 1890s to 1920s. It is a traditional Hit and Miss quilt pattern. To complete the quilt, we backed the top with deep red southwest patterned fabric. This can best be appreciated when the sleeves are rolled or cuffed. The quilt top is loaded with hand embroidery turkey tracks stitching and hand knots. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, has a little weight, and has a great drape. It is very flattering. It is important to note that many fabrics in this jacket contain wool. If you have any sensitivity to wool, please do not purchase this jacket. This is a great candidate for a fur. If you would like to see fur option, please reach out after purchase. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
