This is a Traditional Crazy or Scrappy quilt top made circa 1920s to 1940s. The quilt top is overflowing with beautiful turkey track hand embroidery. To complete the quilt we backed it with novelty black and brown fabric. The quilt contains scraps from the maker's sewing box. There are wools, polys, cottons, and felts. If you have sensitivity to wool fabric we discourage you from this jacket. In our opinion, the jacket is medium weight, has medium loft, and is in excellent condition. This piece will keep you warm. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
