Lady Lancaster found this gem at an Estate sale of a life long antique collector. Lady Lancaster shopped his collection from his home in the Sante Fe region. This is an American antique quilt top made circa 1890s to 1910s. It is a traditional Crazy or Scrappy quilt. To complete the quilt, the top was backed with reproduction indigo fabric. The quilt top is a turn-of-the-century show off! It contains rare and valuable antique indigos, home spun ginghan, and many dress and men's shirt scraps. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, has very little loft (puffiness), and is very lightweight. It has a great drape and is extremely flattering. Please note, there is a minor mend. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
