This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1890s to 1920s. It is a turn of the century MASTERPIECE! It is a traditional New Hour Glass Quilt Pattern. This piece is museum-worthy for its hand quilting, hand sewing, crisp points, and valuable and pristine fabrics. This quilt did not come from a humble home and is a traditional Lancaster county quilt. The maker backed the quilt in rare indigo fabric. You will want to cuff the sleeves to show this off. This piece is in excellent condition. This is a Lady Lancaster 20/10!!! In our opinion the quilt is thin, lightweight with very little loft, and has a very floppy and flattering drape. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
