This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1890s to 1920s. It is a variation of the traditional Sawtooth Quilt Pattern. This piece is museum-worthy for its meticulous hand quilting, hand sewing, crisp points, tiny pieces, and valuable indigo fabrics. In our opinion, the quilt is thin, lightweight, has very little loft, and has a nice drape. The sleeves are 2” longer than our standard Helen pattern. Please note there are some subtle fade lines on the inside of the jacket, there is also a very faint amount of tanning throughout the quilt. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
