This is an antique American quilt made circa 1930s to 1950s. It is a traditional Grandma’s Garden quilt pattern. The quilt is hand quilted and hand sewn which is a labor of love and a lost art. In our opinion, it is thin, lightweight, soft, and has a little loft(puffiness). The maker used a super luxe cotton. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. The sleeves are 5” longer than our standard Helen pattern. There are a few zig zag mends and one flower on the back that is fully zig zagged. The mends blend seamlessly into the quilt. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
