This is an American antique quilt made circa 1930s to 1960s. It is a traditional Broken Star Quilt Pattern. This piece has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. The maker backed this quilt(inside of jacket) with a cotton muslin fabric. In our opinion, the quilt is very soft, very thin, and is very lightweight with light to medium loft (batting). It has a very flattering and beautiful drape. Please note, there is some age spotting on the inside of the jacket. These marks do not show to the outside of this piece. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
