This is an antique American quilt made circa 1930s to 1950s. It is a traditional Irish Chain quilt pattern. The quilt has been meticulously hand quilted. The maker used a very soft and luxe cotton. It may be a sateen or a super luxe soft dreamy cotton. The quilt has very subtle sun bleaching throughout which means the blue has a patina. It reads as a variation in the shades of blue. We have tried to photograph this, and we personally love it. You can see it best on one of the pockets which we have pointed out in the photographs. In our opinion, the jacket is super thin, lightweight, soft, and has a little loft (puffiness). There are a few minor and small zig zag mends.
