This is a future heirloom and a Lady Lancaster original. It is a traditional Broken Star quilt pattern made in a very unorthodox colorway. The top was made using a midcentury quilt kit and neon checkered fabric. The quilt was not hand quilted but was completed by Zoe Dawn and her long arm. We backed this quilt(inside of jacket) with a novelty Tula Pink Agate fabric. You will want to cuff the sleeves to show this off. This piece is a true work horse, it is not fragile at all and there is no need to baby it. The quilt will be able to withstand washings. In our opinion, the quilt is thin, lightweight, and has medium loft(puffiness). Please note, there are some blue sewing lines from the quilt kit that we could not lift during the washing process. PLEASE NOTE: the sleeves are 2” longer than our standard Helen pattern. If you have further questions, please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.

Measurements

36” back of the neck to the bottom of the hem

36” laying flat, armpit to armpit

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
