This is an American antique quilt made circa 1930s-1950s. It is a traditional Rose of Sharon Appliqué Quilt Pattern. It is beautifully hand quilted and hand appliquéd. We would be remiss if we did not mention the beautiful viney border that we have tried to accentuate in the photos. The grounding fabric is not white and was never intended to be white, it is an almond color. This jacket is very thin, very soft, very lightweight, and has a buttery drape. PLEASE NOTE: The sleeves are 2” longer than our Standard Helen Pattern. There is a minor zig zag mend or two that blend into the quilt. Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
