This is an American antique quilt made circa 1960s-1970s. This was made with a Paragon quilt kit that was featured on the cover of Good Housekeeping in the 60's. It was made to celebrate Americana. As a result, it became wildly popular. We are obsessed with the Folk Art Motifs. The detail in this applique is stunning, the tiny stars on the eagle's shield to the tiny eagle claws. This piece is beautifully hand quilted, and hand appliquéd. The quilt was made by a master. PLEASE NOTE: the sleeves are 2” longer than our Standard Helen Pattern. In our opinion, the jacket is super soft, thin, and lightweight with a little loft(puffiness). Please note: there is some mild pilling on the inside of the jacket. Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
