This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1930's-1950's. This is a rarely made quilt pattern and can be referred to as a New York Beauty Quilt Pattern. This piece is museum-worthy for its meticulous hand sewing, dense and precise hand quilting, and crisp and tiny points. The maker was an absolute MASTER! The maker backed this jacket with a cotton muslin fabric. The ground fabric of this quilt is not a crisp white and was never intended to be. In our opinion the quilt is very soft, very thin, lightweight with little to no loft(batting). This jacket has a great drape. Overall, this quilt is in excellent condition!
