This is an American antique quilt made circa 1960's-1970's. This was made with a Paragon quilt kit that was featured on the cover of Good Housekeeping in the 60's. It was made to celebrate Americana. As a result, it became wildly popular. We are obsessed with the Folk Art Motifs. The detail in this applique is stunning, the tiny stars on the eagles shield to the tiny eagle claws. This piece is beautifully hand quilted, and hand appliqued. It is a soft, thin, lightweight with medium loft(puffiness) quilt. It is very comfortable to wear. There are a few zig zag mends that we have added photos of. There is also an age spot around the front pocket. Our hi-res images could not capture this mark so we have included an iphone photo at the end of the listing. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
