This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1890's-1919. We believe this to be an advanced variation of the traditional Flaming Star quilt pattern. This piece has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. It is overflowing with rare and valuable indigo fabrics. We love a classic indigo and wear this in place of a denim jacket. In our opinion the quilt is extremely soft, thin , medium weight with light to medium loft (batting), and has a great drape. Please note: there are a few zig zag mends and some very minor age spots, we have added iphone photos for your convenience. Overall this quilt is in excellent condition for its age. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
