This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1940's-1960's. It is a traditional Broken Star Quilt Pattern. This piece has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn which is a labor of love and a lost art. The maker backed this quilt (inside of jacket) with a very whimsical and rare vintage fabric. The fabric depicts famous classic fairy tales. This can best be appreciated when the cuffs are rolled or the jacket is worn inside out. In our opinion this piece is thin, very soft, light weight, and has a great drape. This piece is flattering and very comfortable to wear. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10.
