This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1940's-1960's. It is a traditional Broken Star Quilt Pattern. This piece is hand quilted. If you look close you will see the variation in each beautiful stitch. This quilt came with a fun little piece of history, a hand embroidered name "Wendel". We are not sure if it is the recipient or maker of the quilt, but we have saved and placed this hand work on the inside lapel of the jacket. In our opinion this jacket is very soft, thin, light weight, and has a good drape. Please note there is a zig zag mend in a point of the star, but it blends seamlessly into the quilt. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
