This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1930's. It is a traditional Broken Star Quilt Pattern made with unorthodox colors and patterns. This piece is extraordinary for its crisp points and beautiful hand quilting and it was made by a master. This is a very unusual colorway for Broken Stars and we saved it for the holidays. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10.
In our opinion, the quilt is soft, thin, lightweight, and has a beautiful and flattering drape.
Please note, there is mild tanning on the inside of the jacket, and some blue color bleed. None of this shows through to the front of the jacket. There is a spot of tanning at the point of one of the stars on the back of the jacket. We have included a photo for your convenience. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
