This is an American antique quilt made circa 1930s to 1950s. It is a traditional Broken Star Quilt Pattern with extra star satellites and an elevated border. It has been beautifully hand quilted, hand sewn, and has nice crisp points. In our opinion, the jacket is very thin, very lightweight, super soft, and has a very floppy and flattering drape. Please note the ground color is not white and was never intended to be white, rather it is more like a light almond. This piece is a dream to wear and so comfortable. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. The maker backed the quilt(inside of jacket) with a cotton muslin fabric. Please note, The sleeves are 3” longer than our standard Helen pattern. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
