This is an antique American quilt made circa 1880s to 1910s. This quilt pattern has been called many names throughout the years. Our favorites are Job's Trouble, Mechanical Blocks, and Ozark Cobblestones. The quilt has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn which is a labor of love and a lost art. This is an absolute masterpiece from the turn-of-the-century. We are humbled to have worked with this quilt. This piece was not from a humble home, it is filled with rare fabrics from the 1800s. On top of that, it is backed(inside of jacket) with a beautiful paisley fabric. You will want to cuff the sleeves or wear this jacket inside out. In our opinion, the quilt is very thin, very lightweight, soft, has very little loft(puffiness), and has a beautiful and flattering drape. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10 and a slice of American pie. Please note, the sleeves are 3” longer than our standard Helen pattern. Overall, this quilt is in excellent condition for its age! If you have further questions, please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.

Measurements
36” back of the neck to the bottom of the hem
36” laying flat, armpit to armpit
Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
