This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1930s. It is absolutely spectacular for its 12-13 stitches per inch. We do not believe we have ever had a quilt this beautifully stitched. It presents both a cross hatched pattern and a wreath pattern. In addition this piece is beautifully hand appliqued. We have saved the prestigious Regina Louisville label and have sewn it into the inside of the jacket. There are many pieces similar to this currently preserved in museums across the country. It goes without saying that this pieces is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. If there was a higher award it would receive that! In our opinion the quilt is extremely soft, thin, lightweight, with a buttery drape.
