This is an American Antique quilt made circa 1880's-1910. It is is a traditional Feathered Star Quilt Pattern. This piece is museum quality for its extremely tiny pieces, its caliber of technical execution, its preserved initials, its dense hand quilting, and its hand piecing. This is an absolute collectors piece and pieces like this are hanging throughout museums in the U.S. The quilt is thin and soft but we would consider this to be a medium weight. It is not a summer weight.

We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
