This is an American antique quilt completed in 1922 by Mae Senter. We know this because the maker signed and dated the quilt. We have saved this provenance and have sewn it to the inside of the jacket. The neutral palette in this quilt is exceedingly rare. The quilt is in excellent condition. It is a Four Patch Pinwheel quilt pattern. This piece is exquisite for its museum worthy hand quilting, its meticulous hand sewing, its rare quilt pattern, and elevated border. While it may look like there is tanning or yellowing, there is NOT!! The maker used multiple and different almond and ivory ground colors. In our opinion the quilt is thin, soft, and lightweight with a great drape. If you have further questions, please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
