This is an American antique quilt made circa 1940’s to 1960’s. This Duster jacket was selected by the Philadelphia Art Museum to be part of their textile exhibit. The quilter chose to follow the traditional Nine Patch quilt pattern. It is considered a scrappy quilt, made with scraps from the maker's sewing box. The quilt contains some wool fabrics. If you are sensitive to wool please note this fact. This beauty has been hand quilted and if you look closely you will see the variation in each stitch. We added vintage carved bone oval buttons as closures. In our opinion this quilt is thin, very lightweight, and has an excellent drape. We have shown a few images of this duster with one of our fur collars. The collar is not included with this jacket, we did this to give you a visual of how a fur would look on this piece. If you have been looking for a quilt to add a fur collar to, this is an excellent choice. If you have further questions please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.
