This quilt coat is made using an antique American quilt made circa 1880s to 1920s. It is a traditional Windmill quilt pattern. The quilt is museum-worthy for its meticulous hand sewing, dense quilting, crisp points, and teeny tiny pieces. The quilt is made with very rare antique indigo fabric. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight, and has a beautiful drape. We used hand painted antique wooden flower buttons as closures. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/0. To add interest we used a vintage Levi Trucker jacket for the collar and sleeves. Please note, there are a few areas that show sun bleaching, but this does not compromise the fabric in any way. Please note, this is a size Medium, please read measurements below. If you have further questions, please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.

Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
