This is an antique American quilt top made circa 1930s to1940s. It is a traditional Grandmother's Garden quilt pattern. To complete the quilt, we backed the top with a baby blue polka dot fabric. This piece is exceptional for its tiny pieces and meticulous hand sewing. You will want to cuff the sleeves to show off the polka dots. For closures we used gold and enamel pearl flower buttons. This pieces wears well from day to night, from cut offs and sneakers to jeans with heels. Please note there are a few zig zag mends throughout and they blend well with the fabric. We have tried to capture them in photographs. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, very lightweight, made with super luxe cotton, and falls beautifully on the body. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
