This quilt coat is made from a turn-of-the-century quilt that was found at a Lancaster County Mennonite Estate sale. This antique quilt was made circa 1890s to 1920s and is loaded with homespun ginghams. It has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn. It is a traditional Puss in The Corner quilt pattern. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight, and has a beautiful floppy drape. This piece is extremely flattering and is buttery soft. We used large scale vintage triangular buttons as closures. To add interest we used a vintage Levi Trucker jacket for the collar and sleeves. This is quintessential Americana and it will look great with everything! Please read measurements below. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
