This is a one of a kind phenomenal and museum-worthy quilt. This piece is loaded with hand embroidery. This is once in a lifetime piece and is just so special. We are honored to offer it in our January collection. This piece was made circa 1940s. We love all the little birds. The maker hand quilted the piece in a contrasting neon thread. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight, soft, and has little to no loft (puffiness). The backing fabric on the inside of the jacket is a flannel and so soft. This is a great piece to consider adding a fur collar to, please reach out after purchasing if you would like to see options! For closures we used antique black and gold glass buttons. Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
