This is an absolute showstopper and a Lady Lancaster 10/10! This is an antique American quilt made circa 1880s to 1910. It is a traditional Sunshine and Shadows Log Cabin quilt pattern. This is a Lancaster County Mennonite quilt. It has an absolute insane backing fabric(inside of jacket). You will want to cuff the sleeves to show this fabric off. The maker was not from a humble home. They beautifully hand sewed and hand quilted this piece. The quilt contains so many valuable fabrics from the turn-of-the-century! Our favorite part about this quilt is the animals that they made the center of the Log cabins and then fussy cut around. We highlighted this by featuring a bull dog and a cat on the collar. Please see photos! In our opinion, the quilt is very soft, has medium loft (puffiness), is comfortable to wear, and has an excellent and flattering drape. For closures we used leather buttons. Overall, this quilt is in excellent condition for its age. Please note this is a size MEDIUM, before purchasing read measurements below. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
