This is an antique American quilt made circa 1890s to 1920s. It is a traditional Log Cabin quilt pattern. This piece has been beautifully hand quilted and hand sewn which is a labor of love and a lost art. It's believed that the center black square in each "cabin" is meant to represent the hideouts along the underground railroad. This piece contains rare and valuable indigos, as well as a variety of beautiful fabrics from the turn-of-the-century. The maker backed the quilt (inside of jacket) with brown homespun gingham fabric. In our opinion, the jacket is very soft, very thin, very lightweight, and has a flattering and great drape. There is a little loft (puffiness). For closures we used faux silver buffalo nickel buttons. This is a Lady Lancaster 10/10. This piece would look great great with a fur. If you would like to add fur please reach out after purchasing. Please note: there are a few zig zag mends and some faint age spots. This is a size MEDIUM. Please read measurements below before purchasing. If you have further questions please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.

  • Please reference measurements for a specific fit.
  • One Size Fits Most - Model is 5’4 and approximately 125lbs

Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabrics reflect this. Some fabrics can be older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
