This is an American antique quilt top made circa 1930’s to 1950's. It is a traditional Washington Stamp quilt pattern made in the crazy quilt style. The quilt top has been beautifully hand sewn and parts of the quilt have hand embroidered turkey tracks. These stitches were done in neon thread and add a very fun twist. To complete the quilt, walnut black and caramel ticking stripe fabric was added. This piece was quilted on a long arm. The quilt itself was small so in addition to the backing fabric, an extra border of Kaffe black and navy stripe fabric was added. This can be found on the sleeves. This quilt contains ginghams, and wool fabrics. In our opinion, the quilt is thin, medium weight, and has a flattering drape. This jacket is a great option for winter. We have shown this piece with one of our fur colors. The collar is not included with this jacket, we did this to give you a visual of how a fur would look on this piece. If you have been looking for a quilt to add a fur collar to, this is an excellent choice. For closures we added oblong carved wooden buttons from the midcentury. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
