This is an Antique American quilt made circa 1930's-1950's. It is a traditional Brickwork or Trip Around the World quilt pattern. This piece is exceptional for its Provenance, meticulous hand sewing, and museum-worthy hand quilting. We believe it was made by a Mrs. Rohrbach who was born in 1876, we know this because the maker hand embroidered these details into the border. We preserved this provenance and placed it on the outside sleeve cuff. The maker added a bright and contrasting green backing fabric. We have added five large black and white dotted buttons as closures down the front. In our opinion the quilt is in excellent condition, very soft, very thin, very light weight and flattering. We added mid-century green spherical buttons as closures. If you have further questions please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.
