This is an American contemporary quilt finished in 2010. We know this because the maker, Billie R. White, gave us the gift of signing and dating her art. We have saved this provenance inside of the jacket. This quilt pattern was the featured pattern in a 1995 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting. Irma Gail Hatcher took the traditional New York Beauty Quilt pattern and added her twist to it and renamed it the Arkansas Beauty. We believe this quilt to have been a kit. Billie was a technical master and beautifully and quilted and hand sewn this piece. The piece is also exceptional for its tiny pieces. To add to the overall aesthetic and warmth we affixed a detachable genuine long hair fur. It is super soft and luxe. For closures we used 5 elongated wooden toggle buttons. We do not believe that this quilt was ever used and it has very little to no wear. Due to that this jacket has a bit more structure to it and will not hug the body. It is soft, and very light weight. If you have further questions please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.
