This is a contemporary American quilt made in 2015 by Trylla Esherick in Albuquerque, NM. We know this because the maker kindly embroidered the provenence into the quilt. We have preserved this and you can find it in the shawl. The quilt was made as a wedding gift. It is a traditional Grandmother's Garden quilt pattern. In our opinion, the jacket is thin, lightweight, and soft. It is not hand sewn or hand quilted. We love the calico floral backing fabric that can best be appreciated when the sleeves are cuffed. Please see the photos included for your convenience. The quilt is in excellent condition.
The Blankie style is our most oversized one size fits most jacket. If you are tiny or petite please understand this is a very large oversized jacket. Lady Lancaster, who is modeling this jacket is a US size 2-4 and 5'4" in height for perspective. This piece legitimately fits a US size 0-16 comfortably. Lady Lancaster designed this style to be a literal Blankie with arms. Perfect layering piece for after the beach or pool or a pre ski and campfire.

Please note that most of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
