This is an American vintage quilt, made circa 1960's to 1970s. It is a traditional Wedding Ring quilt pattern. This piece has been both hand quilted and hand sewn which is a labor of love and a lost art. This jacket is like wearing a cloud. If you are looking for comfort this is a great option for you. In our opinion the quilt is thin with some batting (puffiness), and is very soft. Please note: there is a watermark on the front shall and there is one small mark above on the back shoulder that we could not lift on our washing process. There are photos at the end of the listing that details this for your convenience. If you have further questions please direct message us and we are happy to send you a video.
The Blankie style is our most oversized one size fits most jacket. If you are tiny or petite please understand this is a very large oversized jacket. Lady Lancaster, who is modeling this jacket is a US size 0-4 and 5'4" in height for perspective. This piece legitimately fits a US size 0-16 comfortably. Lady Lancaster designed this style to be a literal Blankie with arms. Perfect layering piece for after the beach or pool or a pre ski and campfire.
- This jacket has clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
- This features two very deep, generous pockets.
- One Size Fits Most
Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
